I always love Diane Perkins’ heart wrenching Regency-set historical romances–and The Marriage Bargain is her best yet. The story grabbed me right from the start, when a new widow reaches into her dead husband’s coffin only to discover he isn’t dead yet! Read more about The Marriage Bargain.

Recently, my debut novel was listed among the finalists in two categories for the Romance Writers of America RITA, the most sought-after award in romance publishing today. What an honor that was. Of course, being the book-fiend that I am, I bought every single book in both categories and have started reading my tower of phenomenal romances. In fact, I’m already half way through. What a talented group of authors! Have you read any of these? If so, shoot an email my way and let me know which were your favorites. Be sure to click on the authors’ names to learn more about them and [...]

How could I possibly resist an anthology by four of my favorite Regency authors Victoria Alexander, Liz Carlyle, Eloisa James and Cathy Maxwell? In this romantic anthology, four sets of star-crossed lovers are given one more chance at love. Fate has brought these couples back together, but can they set things to right this time and forge a love last for all time? I pre-ordered this one! With the holidays right around the corner, this four course feast is going to fly off the shelves.

When the weather gets cooler and the nights become downright cold, I look for a book to heat things up. The Improper Wife by Diane Perkins is just such a book―a Regency-set romance with emotional depth and oh yeah, a few…um…incendiary scenes. Captain John Grayson is incensed when the seductive Maggie Delaney stuns him with the preposterous claim that he is her husband–but her fierce pride and smoldering eyes tempt him to keep her…and make her his wife both in heart and in bed. Now go put away that extra blanket. Pick up this book and you won’t need one.

I read this book in one night, keeping my husband awake as I laughed all the way through. Poor dear. He was grumpy all the next day, but it was totally worth it. Kasey Michaels is in rare form with this fresh and clever tale of love and mayhem in Regency England. When the Marquis of Westham, Morgan Drummond, returns home unexpectedly after a five year absence, he finds that his trusted butler has rented his fashionable house to a horde of oddball strangers for the season. His attempts to throw the lot of them into the street is thwarted by debutante Emma Clifford–who is [...]
